More about us
What makes us different from any other Violin school? We are fun, and a bit crazy, but absolutely love what we do.
… AND we have the best parents in Melbourne!
We also believe in creating warm and genuine connections with our students.
We are passionate music educators who care deeply about our students. Our method and approach is based in the Suzuki philosophy that every child can learn. Just as we all learn to speak our native language, so we can learn to play a music instrument the same way.
Suzuki also believed in character first, and ability second. This drives the culture of our school - to develop good human beings through the study of music.
It is expected that students of our school commit to coming to a weekly individual lesson, as well as a weekly group class.
Parents attend all lessons and we all learn together. As this is a big commitment, our approach isn’t for all families.
We love to have fun with our students! Suzuki group classes are an essential part of the motivation and learning that happens in one week.
Through games, daily listening, and differentiating between sounds, a good ear is developed.
Every week, parents, students and teacher work together to achieve their own personal best. Through daily listening, repetition and imitation, we develop our students concentration and memory skills, and their musicianship skills are continually honed and refined until mastery.
